SlewView licence agreement

Version 1.0, 24 October 2026. This is the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for SlewView. You accept it when SlewView first starts, and again when you buy a licence. The terms of sale shown at checkout apply to a purchase as well.

1. Who we are and what this covers

SlewView is made by Innoworks Engineering Kft., 1156 Budapest, Páskomliget u. 19. VI. 24., Hungary, company registration number 01-09-929903 ("we", "us"). This agreement covers the SlewView program, its updates and its documentation ("the software"), in the free edition and with a licence. "You" means the person who uses the software or, for a Commercial licence, the organisation that buys it.

3. What you may do

The free edition

Anyone may install and use the free edition, on any number of computers, for any purpose - private, study or work, paid or not - with no time limit. It is limited in the ways the program and its product page describe (a watermark, the values of the first 1,000 rows of each file only, and some locked features).

A licence

A licence removes those limits. It is perpetual and is granted for one person, on the terms of its tier:

• Personal: a private individual using SlewView for their own purposes, with no pay and no organisation behind the use - a hobby, a private project, a student's own coursework. It belongs to that person and cannot be transferred.
• Commercial: any use for paid work or on behalf of an organisation - employees, freelancers, contractors, consultants, and research at a university or institute. It is bought for one named user. The organisation may move it to another person, for example when someone leaves, after deactivating it on the old computers.

A licence key may be active on up to 3 computers at the same time, and on up to 10 new activations in any 12 months. It is not a shared or floating seat: two people may not use one licence. If you use SlewView for work under a Personal licence, you need a Commercial one.

4. What you may not do

• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, or undo its protection, except where the law allows it even if a contract says otherwise (for example, to achieve interoperability);
• get around the licence check, the watermark or the locked features, or help others to do so;
• rent, lease, lend, sublicense or sell the software, or share a licence key;
• distribute the software other than by passing on the unchanged installer as downloaded from us;
• use the software to control machinery or in any system where a failure could cause death, injury or serious damage.

5. Your data and your results

Your files stay on your computer. SlewView sends data over the internet only as our privacy notice describes: activating and checking a licence, checking for updates (which you can turn off in Help), and a crash or problem report when you choose to send one. Everything you make with SlewView - pictures, exports, sessions - is yours, watermark included.

6. Updates and support

A licence covers every 1.x version, for as long as we release 1.x updates. We provide bug and security fixes for at least 2 years from the day you buy. A new major version (2.0) may be a paid upgrade; your licence keeps working with the 1.x versions. Support is by email to contact [at] slewview.com, on a best-effort basis and without a guaranteed response time.

7. Warranty and liability

If you are a consumer

Your statutory rights are not affected by this agreement - in particular the right to software that conforms to the contract and to the updates needed to keep it so. Beyond those rights we give no further guarantee. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable when the contract was made, nor for loss caused by using the software against section 2 or section 4, to the extent the law allows.

If you use SlewView for business

The software is provided "as is". We give no warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose, free of errors or uninterrupted. We are not liable for lost profit, lost or damaged data, or for decisions taken or results produced on the basis of the software. Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the price you paid for the licence, and for the free edition to nothing.

In every case

Nothing in this agreement limits our liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for harm to life, body or health, or where the law does not allow it to be limited.

8. How long it lasts

This agreement lasts as long as you use the software. If you seriously breach it - for example by sharing a key or getting around the licence check - and do not put it right within 15 days of our written notice, we may end it and revoke the licence. A licence that is refunded is revoked. A revoked licence turns SlewView back into the free edition; nothing on your computer is deleted.

9. Third-party components

SlewView includes components made by others under their own licences, listed in the THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES file installed with the program (Help → About). Those licences apply to those components.

10. Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement. A change to what you may do, to the restrictions or to liability is shown at the next start of SlewView for you to accept. A change never takes away a right you already have under a licence you bought.

11. Law, courts and language

Hungarian law governs this agreement. For a business, the courts of Budapest have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live and may bring a claim there. This agreement is published in English and in Hungarian; the English text prevails, except for consumers living in Hungary, for whom the Hungarian text prevails.
